Recently we went through our photos and realized that when our Internet was "down" we were unable to share pictures from our trip to a Chinese spa. This was no ordinary spa. We went to the Interlaken OCT Hotel and Spa, a five star resort nestled in the mountains just a short drive from the South China Sea. The entire facility grounds are designed in a Bavarian style and give the appearance of a small German town in China!
We spent a Saturday with a group of about 10 other teachers at the resort. The cost was 150 RMB ($22.00) for us to have unlimited access to about 15 hot baths and 5 saunas. If we wanted massages or other extras the cost shot up at least double the original price. Needless to say, we chose to stick to the basics. We spent several hours exploring the hot baths of chile, eggplant, lavender, tea, and even wine! Adan really enjoyed the "Fire and Ice" pools, two walking pools set up side by side where you walk with temperatures of 10-15 Celsius and then other of 35-40 Celsius. It was an invigorating feeling going from one to the other. Pazi enjoyed the "Acupuncture" shower. This was a pool with an enormous shower head that would drop heavy amounts of water on a person below. The water would pour down like rain on the person's back and give a feeling like a massage rub. 
Overall, the event was worthwhile.
It was a nice resort that worked hard to make you feel like you were not in China. Our friend Warren looked up the hotel rates online when we got back and said that rooms go for $400-$500 a night! Guess we got pampered more than we realized.
